RP journal for Ursula from the movie Kiki's Delivery Service.

Ursula is an excellently chill young painter who lives in the woods, makes buddies with crows and young witches, and hitch-hikes around the sort-of-but-not-exactly-Swedish* countryside. She's an ordinary human, a young woman with reddish-brown hair and a very very very large hat and backpack. No magical powers, no super powers, just niftiness. I'm playing her from before the movie canon; she hasn't yet met Kiki.




* WHERE DOES SHE LIVE? AND WHEN??? Kiki's Delivery Service is set in a charming unnamed Europeanish country, in the town Koriko. But the more Ursula talks to people in Milliways the harder it is to not make up a more specific time and place. The town Koriko is mainly modeled on Stockholm, though there are elements of other European locations; some of the beach and seaside views are very Mediterranean, but the countryside and woods look pretty northern European to me. If I have to make up a name for her country it's probably Uppland or something like that, but that's just me, not book or movie canon. In terms of when, it's...supposed to be an alternate Europe in the 1950s where WWII never happened. Sounds nice.
